Setting Proxy di XUBUNTU 9.04

Pusing! Bener-bener pusing selese nginstall xubuntu. Gimana engga, banyangin di xubuntu 9.04 a.k.a Jaunty Jackalope, belum ada GUI untuk setting proxy. Bagi orang awam seperti saya, pasti udah kelimpungan, kebakaran jenggot or apalah kata yang bisa mewakilinya.

Untung ada mbah gugel (google-red) dan temen-temen di forum ubuntu. The problem is solved! Hanya dengan beberapa langkah saja. Kuncinya hanya pada perintah :

gksudo mousepad /etc/environment

Kemudian tambahkan line berikut pada file tersebut :

http_proxy="http://proxy:port/"
ftp_proxy="ftp://proxy:port/"
https_proxy="https://proxy:port/"

Setelah itu restart, login kembali dan saya sudah bisa menjalankan perintah

gksudo apt-get update
